Delete your account
You can request deletion of your MalaboEats customer account directly in our mobile app. This page explains the steps and what happens next—for users and for app store reviewers.

Steps in the app
Open the MalaboEats app
Sign in with the account you want to delete.
Go to Profile
From the main tabs, open your Profile (you must be logged in).
Delete account
Scroll to the “Delete account” link (below Preferences, above Log out). Tap it.
Confirm with your password
Read the notice, enter your account password, then tap Delete permanently. This confirms you are the account owner.
After you delete
- Your profile is anonymized: we remove or replace personal details such as your real email, name, phone, and avatar, and you are signed out everywhere.
- Saved addresses, favorites, Bioko Tag (where applicable), and notifications tied to your profile are removed as part of the process.
- Some data may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form, or kept where the law requires (for example accounting or tax records). Order history may remain in our systems without identifying you as an individual.
- Wallet balance is cleared as part of closure; ensure you understand any implications before confirming deletion.
Cannot delete from the app?
Certain privileged accounts (for example platform administrators) cannot be removed from the app for security reasons. If you need help or cannot access the app, email us from the address associated with your account:
Include “Account deletion” in the subject line and enough detail for us to verify your identity. We may ask follow-up questions to protect your account.
